No. 1

Living Under a Bridge: The 1977 VW Camper Bus that will take us from Portland to Florida, hopefully in time for Thanksgiving. While we are intrigued by this offer from Wal Mart to camp for free in any of their parking lots, we are more at home under a bridge, tree or the shadow of a Mack truck in a State Rest Area. With mixed feelings and no regrets, we leave Portland on Monday, November 6.

Comments:
wicked. did you get out of the washington rain allright?
Yeah, but the rain and wind on 84 nearly killed us. Luckily, Cleo got into the Xanax and slept through the whole thing.
That Cleo! Always willing to finish the leftovers...
What an amazing journey you guys have embarked upon! Good luck in your travels...

P.S. I linked to your site from my blog. Great stuff! =)
My girlfriend an I drove 3850 miles from Kentucky to Montana, then to Yellowstone and back in the same vehicle. We have the same year and the same color! The trip sealed our relationship and we will never forget our trip. we took a small ceramic heater as well and it kept us warm everywhere except 1 night in Yellowstone with no electric hookup.
Sounds like a great adventure! Look us up when you make it to Argentina.
Also, are you on Couchsurfing?
Nice VW ! I am in costa rica, and just on saturday there was a big meeting of local VW´s, many people showed up, great event overall, by the way, great blog, a really original approach to it
